At The Armchair Historian, I took the lead as creative director in 2019 and reimagined the channel's visual style and identity into what it is today.

I spearheaded the channel's transformation into a fully remote animation studio, managing a team of 55 freelancers worldwide.

Using a custom Notion-based production pipeline, I increased the channel's output to three 20-minute animated history documentaries per month. This was achieved by standardizing and streamlining processes, improving visual quality, and optimizing costs through asset reuse.

These improvements led to subscriber growth from 900,000 to 2.3 million in just eighteen months. This growth created more valuable sponsorship opportunities and higher payouts, reaching a point where a single sponsor could fully cover video production costs and generate additional studio revenue. In 2023, the channel earned $1.1 million in gross revenue through combined ad revenue and sponsorships.
